A few things you will notice: one) there is no sink; two) there is no seat; three) there is no flush handle.

What do you do. Well, 1-scoop water, or better yet, carry hand sanitizer. For 2, learn to squat by placing your feet on the ledges, get real low close to the whole, and let it fall. Gross! We’re just not culturally adapted to this ritual.

Now about number 3: My suggestion is to always bring napkins or packages of kleenex with you for just these kinds of emergencies, else it is a scoop of water down your backside to rinse it off.

Don’t worry, in most cities western style bathrooms are much more common, but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared just in case the need arises.
